they all forget to mention that mlk made those statements during a much more racially suppressive time in america!!! he should in now way be compared to wright, as his speeches were much more valid and relevant at that time than wright's are today.

I don't think Jeremiah Wright should be compared to MLK.
They have/had similar views, yeah but what MLK did was extraodinary!

I don't always agree with Tavis but he's really hit on the head with his comparison to Obama's pastor and MLK. The media turned MLK into some mythical non-threatening social activists. He was bugged and closely watched they were hellbent on sabotaging his public image and private life he was so "non-threatening"/end sarcasm.
I fell for the mythical image too until I did my own research.
