Every generation holds the perception that their generation is better. I am sure during the 80's parents believes in their generation music was better. For example, parents hated Elvis and the Beatles but now people people those 2 are superior to most mainstream music today. Maybe it is the stubbornness of each generation that entices them to believe things were better during their time due to sentimental and nostalgic value?

true. but we talking about majority. Sure there are exceptions such as yourself and as young as yourself, but most kids favor Souljah Boy and/or others like him more than older hip-hop. anyway, always good to see some from the younger generation appreciating the ol' school.
