Cuando Clapton compuso Layla, recientemente había leído el libro. La obra de Nezami narra la historia de una princesa que es forzada por su padre a casarse con un hombre, a pesar de que ella retribuye el sentimiento de otro que la ama desesperadamente, a consecuencia de ello, este último pierde la cordura. El relato produjo una gran impresión al guitarrista.

El tema "Layla", compuesto por Eric Clapton lanzado en 1970. y es un tema encubiero, ya que es para Pattie Boyd de quien eric estaba enamorado y ella no le prestaba atencion, entonces le saco esa cancion, desps se casaron y el le compuso el tema "Wonderful Tonight. el nombre de la cancion es inspirado en la historia de amor árabe La historia de Layla y Majnun del poeta clásico persa Nezami.Cuando Clapton compuso Layla, recientemente había leído el libro...

saw him in Norfolk at the coliseum and to this day there is no one that tops his music and guitar playing. Would like to see him and Mason together. OMG it would be a mind blowing concert.

Fantastic song and difficult to perform both the vocal and lead at the same time which is why he isn't playing the lead. ONe of my all time favorite songs.

u r on drugs, they aren't even in the same genre catagory. Cobain was too f---ed up to sing like he should.that is why clapton is still alive and cobain isn't DUH
