Texas has more in common with Mexico...Than Florida, Georgia, and SC have in common with NYC or Boston.
so if you want to classify SOUTHERN states that border the atlantic ocean in the same boat as NYC, Boston, Philly..then you would also have to say that Texas is Mexico.
