I believe that this battle we are shown here is inaccurate, I've heard that Mel Gibson merged 2 battles together to make a sort of epic battle where the British won one and the Americans one the other, then pushed the British back to the beach where the French were waiting in they're ships.

lol ive seen a couple of these comments now, some saying "america didnt win, british won" and anything close to that...wellll if american DIDNT win..then why is it NAMED the united states of america?! just shows that the internet offers infinate identity and little 10 years olds that go on and post random crap to make other people angry... *sigh*

yeah right the only reason the U.S.A won was because the stupid british generals didn't persue washington after they beat the crap out of him. When they finally did it was too late!!!

1776 - 90% of all gunpowder supplies imported from France..who semi secretly had been involved from the get-go and not because of any friendship with america rather ONLY because they were terrified of the British Empire, as were the Spanish & Dutch

August 1776 - British captured New York, September 1777 Philadelphia.

The British had overwhelming naval superiority over the American colonists, so the War at Sea was solely British and French fleets

Nice filming; but historical crap like so much of Gibson's stuff re British history.

The British were outnumbered more than 2:1 in this battle yet still took the field. This clip is a total myth.

Sad thing is that some no-brainers here think that this Hollywood stuff is real history.
