lmao. My grandfather (ww2 combat vet) and my father(veitnam combat vet) did not like john wayne, because they told me he was a draft dodger,,Most of his movies was very laughable especially the movies on war. 2 true war vets opinion on john wayne.

John Wayne was no fucking hippy draft dogger. He was a true American patriot just as your Father and Grandfather. My grandfather, like John Wayne, was unable to fight in WW2 because of a medical problem. However, I would never consider my grandfather anything but a true Canadian patriot. A true patriot will continue to serve his country as best he can despite being medically unable to serve his country on the front line. God Bless John Wayne and my grandfather Eugene for their service during WW2

If only we had the duke still with us. we need more people like him, who truely loved America. He is the first person that comes to mind when I think of the word patriotism. We miss you John Wayne.
