Ultimate COLLEGE Pistol Pete Maravich LSU Mix
Back"A compilation of no-look passes, behind-the-back moves, and circus shots. A reminder of what made him so mind blowing in the first place." SPORTS ILLUSTRATED (March 2007) on this highlight mix.
"The definitive biography of Pistol Pete Maravich" ESPN
The "essential" Maravich biography. The New York Times
The mix brought to you by the new book MARAVICH and the Pete Maravich Memorial Basketball Camp.
Pete averaged 44.2 points per game. That remains an all-time NCAA record. But it was HOW he played that burnished his legacy. Welcome to the show.
Special thanks to Wayne Federman and LSU Basketball.

After watching this, I hope Ricky Rubio is pretty damn good for his own sake.

i like his move where he doesnt relase his jump shot, then one-hands it in while hes falling. no momentum at all to guide the shot. all arm aim .. crazy :D

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahah!!! And1...hah..ahah..hahaah.hah Ok. I'm good, I'm good. Hmmm. Heh. HAHA! Whoops. Almost started again...Ouch. Yeah, seems the top ten comments are pretty educated despite an And1 mention - I will just add that he was 6'5" and never dunked, more than likely because he was in lay up range anywhere on the court, though I am sure there was nothing the sport offered that he was not capable of performing.

I agree totally. He was often outcasted in the NBA because of how good he was. He was doing things on the court during games that people either had never seen before or thought was not good for basketball. I don't think Pistol was the best player ever, there are others far more athletic than he was. But what he has over them is he invented what they are using. The cross over, behind the backs, all the stuff that is now considered normal was at a time considered trick basketball.
