i really don't understand what the confusion is...nelly was a trip hop/raver kid who grew up...loose was firmly grounded in electronic/hip hop stylizations...nelly didn't "abandon" what she came out of at all..she just grew up a little...nobody i know is still wearing wide leg pants...but we can still break it down in front of a speaker when we wanna (i.e. when we don't have to go our jobs in the next morning)...peace....
