I memorize it as written that it processes a sound source recorded in MONO in a definite record into STEREO automatically.

I can agree with almost everything you said, except this: he doesnt seem to be particularly driven by the love of money. Rather, the prestige of office, & the vain love of universal acclaim & applause seem to propel him onward. He really is an Ivy Leaguer with a desire to be made Summissima cum laude by popular vote.
