Adam Reddick; "Moonshiner"; performed at Kyoto Kaikan Hall
BackThis was my performance in the Kyoto Exchange Student Music Festival at Kyoto Kaikan, one of the largest theatres in Japan. "Moonshiner" is a traditional song, though this particular arrangement was originally done by Bob Dylan on the Bootleg Series vol. 1

Got to admit, I set out today to hear different versions of this song, and I like your version over the Uncle Tupelo one that's out on You Tube now! Very well done my friend! Great voice, man. Keep in mind, Dylan wasn't a 17 year moonshiner/whiskey drinker when he did this song either!

Wow! I have come across this video accidentally and am totally mesmerized. Your voice gives me the chills,but the good kind, not the heebie-jeebies. I love watching you play. So mellow, so laid back. Beautiful.

I am not dogging on your performance because it is one of the best non-Dylan renditions I have ever heard. With that said, I would love to hear you sing it like someone who has spent 17 years drinking whiskey and beer. Your voice is so clean, so beautiful; it is hard to imagine you actually being a moonshiner. Again, one of the best non-Dylan performances ever, right up there with David Gray!
