How about Occam's razor? Couldn't this be some problem with video problem? The biological change hypothesis is filled with huge enigmas, starting with how the "animal" can still perform a job while accidentally morphing into another "animal."

Idiot...they dont morph...morphing would not effect their clothing...but a holographic malfuntction,now that would effect their clothing,if it was part of the hologram...
