BackIn his 6-part (each 30-minute segment is post separately) oral history interview, Thomas Sarnoff discusses growing up in the shadows of his father, RCA executive David Sarnoff, and how television was a constant topic of conversation in his home. He talks about his impressions of the 1939 Worlds Fair in New York, where television debuted. In 1949, he became a floor manager at ABC in Los Angeles and eventually became an assistant director for the series Mysteries of Chinatown. He was hired at NBC in 1952, as an Assistant to the Director of Finance and Operations. In 1957, he became Vice President, Production and Business Affairs.
