Nose holes
caked
in black
cocaine

Pow! Pow!

No one
holds
a match
to your
skin

No dupe
No chiming

a way
off
miles
off

No needle
through a
glove

Famine is
a tall
tall
tower

a building
left
in the
night

Jesse
are you
listening?

It casts
its ruins
in shadows

under
Memphis
moonlight

Jesse
are you
listening?

Six feet
of
foetus

flung at
sparrows
in the
sky

Put yourself
in my
shoes

A kiss -
- wet -
- muzzle

A clouded
eye

No stars
to flush
it
out

Famine is
a tall
tall
tower

A building
left
in the
night

Jesse
are you
listening?

It casts
its ruins
in shadows

under
Memphis
moonlight

Jesse
are you
listening?

Pow! Pow!

In the dream

I am crawling
around on my
hands and knees
smoothing out
the prairie

All the dents
and the gouges

and the winds
dying down

I lower
my head

press my
ear
to the
prairie

Alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

Alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

I'm the
only
one

left
alive

I love the
"I am crawling
around on my
hands and knees
smoothing out
the prairie" bit.
I don't know why, but something in the feel of this reminds me of the Birtwistle/Harsnet The Minataur opera.........
jimjamjames82 (November 16, 2008 at 7:57 pm)
what shall i listen to?
lunafesto (November 17, 2008 at 7:27 am)
What about the sound of the grass growing?
The sound of one hand clapping?
A flea walking across a carpet
an ant taking a leak on some cotton wool?
Use your imagination!
jimjamjames82 (November 20, 2008 at 9:30 am)
what music would you recommend?
lunafesto (November 21, 2008 at 6:14 am)
Mmmmmmmm now let me see.
Music from the 60's and 70's!
80's pop culture.
experiment a bit.
jimjamjames82 (November 22, 2008 at 12:47 pm)
anything specific?
lunafesto (November 24, 2008 at 4:05 am)
From the 60's...The Beatles, The Stones, The Dave Clark Five, the Kinks, The Small Faces
From the 70's...Genesis, King Crimson, Yes, Barclay James Harvest, Chicago.
The 80's..Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Level 42, The Cars, The Doobie Brothers,
All in all too many to mention really!!
Experiment a bit!

How does listening to this make you not have a life? If you only listen to bubbly, happy music then clearly you don't have much of a life. It's not like everyone who listens to The Drift only listen to things of the same mood. And liking spooky music doesn't make you a masochist. It's not like it hurts to listen to it or anything.

Ah yeah,I see what you mean!
But you know the mind absorbs things very easily!
Like what is read, cannot be unread, what is seen, can't be unseen and what is heard, cannot be unheard.
Just something you might like to consider.:)
