You do know that the Godfather author Mario Puzo and director Francis Ford Coppola both were born to Italian parents. If that dont make them 100% Italians than i dont know what do! No it doesnt make Spielberg a slave trader anymore than it makes FFC a gangster but Spielberg is a Russian Jew.

Yes, Richie did try to kill Tony. He never pulled a gun on him, or placed an explosive underneath Tony's car. But he was planning the move on him--he was nonetheless ATTEMPTING to kill Tony or have him killed. And the fight with Ralph DOES count--Ralph was TRYING TO KILL Tony.

And if "they mean hits that were actually carried out," it would only be ONE. So the argument fails either way.

Nothing personal, but a lot of you people are horribly uninformed.

Like brasiliansoxfansaid, it is meant for viewers to decide. That's what the director was after. We can sit here all day and talk about how each and everything thing in this scene could be symbolic for something relating to his death or survival.

To romeothesioux, Ritchie never tried to kill Tony if your talking about the botched robbery. Tony wasn't even present. Ralph never put a hit out on him either and the fight they had doesnt count. I think they mean hits that were actually carried out.

There were more than two attempts on Tony's life: 1) Febby Petrullio; 2) black assassins hired by Junior and Mikey Palmice; 3) Richie Aprile's spoiled plot; 4) Ralph Cifaretto in "Whoever Did This"; 5) Phil Leotardo's assassins in "Blue Comet"; and, arguably, Chris drunkenly rampaging into the Bing. Note that Junior's shooting of Tony in "Members Only" is not an actual attempt.

Hence the "parking argument" falls flat.

Is it possible that paulie was behind the killing of tony? he was setting himself up for beaing boss with new york if something ever happend to tony.. giving NY iformation about tonys buisniess.. came to think about this becouse of paulies strange behavior when tony offers him the higher position in the last episode..

meadows parking is third time lucky, she tries 2 park twice before she is able to do it, just like this attempt on tonys life is the third time lucky, the other two being the black guys and junior, this is a clue put in by chase, why else is it in there?

AJ and the killer walks in at the same time, the killer then walks to the bathroom where there is a gun hidden he then comes out of the bathroom and shoots Tony in the head. American idiots should watch Italian film the godfather where there is an identical scene and all kills in The Sopranos season 6 are rip offs from the Italian The Godfather mafia trilogy. David Chase only proved that he was a true fag when he didnt film the gory ending because some American fag singer didnt like it. The end
