Wow! Backflash! At .28 is the Merry Pranksters Bus, from the book 'Electric Kool Aid Acid Test' (in SF)....where the Grateful Dead got their start, thanx partly to Ken Kesey...R.I.P. I bought a converted '48 school bus, which I'm gonna fix up, but not sure if I'm gonna go day-glo paint..lol. No speakers on the roof, either. You can find pics of the Bus on the net, if you want to see where it all began....Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Timothy Leary, Kesey, & others. Wow. Memories...

Interesting. I have been a fan forever. I have never heard this before even though we had the CDs from this Monterey festival. fun to see the boys at this age. Our band did a cover of this in 67 and frankly, we did it better.

Actually take a look at 3:13 there are deffinately six band members visible, they must have hidden doug hastings away in the dark

Neil Young kept quitting and unquitting the band.

Some men just like to fight my friend, just because buffalo springfield were about spreading a peacful message when they wrote this tune doesn't make it the law of humanity. Humans have been fighting and killing each other since history began. I predict this will continue way past mine and your existence, dont be so closed minded mayyyn.

Thats a fender bass.

Your right that is a Bass, I didn't really watch that closely.....Either way Doug Hastings played with them at Montery Pop, where exactly he is I don't know maybe he didn't play on all the songs
mrsfry (November 19, 2008 at 6:55 am)
Yeah he doesn't seem to be visible, if you look around 1:14 stills seems to be facing someone when performing his rather half arsed solo, maybe Doug wasn't in shot.
