The world was coming unravelled and a generation became vocal and motivated to make a change. The artists of our time became our voice and a movement that shook the very foundation of civilization was born. Passion and commitment were abundant, we left our impact on history for all to see. Even now as I wear this shirt and tie I will always be a hippy deep inside.

And there were so many songs that told our story and sang our emotions. "For what it's worth". It was a time, I went to the Isle of Wight twice 69/70 and saw many greats, Jimi in 70 a couple of weeks before his last breath. Back in those days with sucha huge number of people on 'our' side I thought we were winning. I was young, around 17 -18 and had ideals. Still do but they have aged.

what are you babbling about?

I was following the thread from pghpa611 and others. The song 'For what it's worth' was written by Steve Stils while with Buffalo Springfield and an anthem of the sixties and still relevant today. You'd have had to be part of it to get it. No need to be rude just because you are ignorant.

so i'm ignorant because i think you are babbling? you should keep your assumptions to yourself. i wasn't talking about the background of the song "for what its worth", i was talking about the incoherent babbling of your entire post.

Hey ClaytonAve! I hear you! We are the woodstock generation, and damn proud of it! Our roots are rock and roll and our ideals will never die! Lennon, Hendrix and the early rockers are our heroes. Viva Las rockers!!
