He's awesome but an 8 minute Bass solo? He's lucky people weren't throwing things at him. If you wanna do that be a guitarist. And I play Bass.

I completely agree.
Billy demonstrated incredible technical skills but he showed absolutely no musicality that grabbed me on an emotional level. Note: I play bass too.

both very overrated bassists IMO
flea is decent but it's pretty ridiculous how people make him out to be the "best slap bassist" or whatever else.
and all sheehan can really do well, as he does in this video, is repeating the same musical phrases and wanking off to the same scales extremely fast. but i guess he's got some monster chops, so for that he sortof has my respect.
