Sweet video, I had never heard of the Junior National team playing against NBA players. How in the Hell did the Blazers still pick Bowie over Jordan after seeing this game? I'm 25 and still think players back then are waaay better than players now. There were better teams too. Nowadays you get teams that have no good bench players whatsoever. Teams in the 80s were deep.

Thanks for posting this, it's ccol to see footage of a young Jordan on the open floor, talk about explosive! ...and seeing Isiah and Magic on the same backcourt, holy court vision, these were two of my fav point guards.

Lol you're kidding, right? These guys are all so skinny in comparison to todays team. Todays team would murder them

It's ALWAYS young dummies like U that think that today's players are better, just because they're the "Current" group & these are the ones you're familiar with, while having VERY LITTLE perspective on the game or each player's abilities..
This is why your generation gets LITTLE respect & are often cited as a "Dumb Generation". U "PROVE" the old saying of when someone LACKS a historical perspective on a subject matter, their "TASTE" & knowledge on that subject tends to be GOD AWFUL.

I have watched my fair share of footage from the older eras. Are you arrogant enough to believe that the game has not evolved since then? The level of skill played in the NBA today FAR outweighs the level displayed in the 80's.

The skill level has evolved? LOL!!
Whenever U "LOWER" the bar of basketball excellence, which is what the NBA has done by making so many Anti-Defensive Rule Changes, which has made it EASIER for today's fundamentally challenged/And_1 players to put up offensive #'s like their predecessors, you've in essence made them ALL "Less Great" than they possibly could've been. The fundamental aspect of the game is scarce & that's putting it MILDLY.

The NBA, while trying to cater to a "Microwave" generation of "footage watchers" like U, have TOTALLY taken away the "SKILL LEVEL" of the game & reduced it to a league full of "Highlight Seekers/And 1 players".
It's TOTALLY garbage now. Watching the NBA today is like watching the NBA on steroids.
Charles Barkley said it best when refering to these ridiculous rule changes, he said:
"the league is just trying to make the game easier for bad player.."

Look at the #'s of these guys "AFTER" they eliminated Handchecking & put in a 3-sec rule in '05!
You have 4 players today who've had 60+ pt games SINCE the changes..ALL perimeter players (A.I., G. Arenas, Kobe & T-mac).
Before 2005, the ONLY active player with a 60 pt game was Shaq! So you'd have me believe, this is so because today's guys are more skilled?
WTF ever!! I don't think so!!
The changes to the rules are the reason these guys are even mentioned in the conversation!

19 of the 50 Greatest Players selected, PLAYED during this era! 49 players are responsible for the MAJORITY of the Top 10 ALL TIME PLAYOFF Honors in EVERY individual category & 137 Players are responsible for the MAJORITY of the Top 30 ALL TIME REG SEASON Honors in EVERY individual category.
But that era is "Inferior" to this one? Idiot!!
How many from this era even BEGIN to rank in this group? I'll tell ya..9 (Shaq, Peja, Nash, Billups, Duncan, Horry, T-Mac, Mutombo & Iverson).

Players today also don't run the fast break as well either. There's TOO MUCH 1 on 1.
These guys today ROUTINELY take bad shots over the defense, rather than givin' it up & cutting/working for a "BETTER" shot. Instead, they'll jack up dumb shot after dumb shot, just so the one they FINALLY make will end up on Sportscenter & all their dummy kid fans of today will claim "this guy can make tough shots like no other"..
I'm so tired of looking at today's GARBAGE brand of b-ball..
