The Citadel has the silver shako and that's because they have a good football team, that can't be denied. But why? Because good football players that were the kings of their high school don't want to go to a real military school and go through a tougher first year. That's why we have such a hard time recruiting athletes at VMI because they'd rather go somewhere easier.
By the way who do you think has the silver boot? (Rugby trophy) I was there last year, we won it (again).

WTF?! VMI easier than the citadel?? u mean the same VMI that has their 4th class/Rat experience until winter break?! a tougher first year or SIX MONTHS?? Try that 4 an entire school year, that's how we do at the Citadel so don't ever say some crap about this school not being a real military school. on the issue of trophy holdings, who gives a crap about rugby! we're in the south and last time i checked football is king!

I've seen the Citadel with my own eyes. Your penalty tours are crap. 2 per a room? With air conditioning? I had five roomates my Rat year, no AC (because the building was built in the early 1800's) and we don't have locks on our doors. Your original barracks is a pink hotel, you live in new 2-year old buildings, your oldest one is not even half as old as our barracks. The Ratline is 6 months of intense training, rather than a year of upperclass hazing and stupid crap. Check Forbes magazine
