The video won the Golden Rose international television award in Montreux, Switzerland.

Bex, my best intuition is that Cohen is describing the supreme sacrifice and how we only recognize it when it's too late. (Only drowning men can see him). Instead we cling to science (logic) and sink rather than soar with faith.

Glad you mentioned Donovan gabrielangello Another amazing song writer / poet Jennifer Juniper "another of my fave songs" not to mention the other "Catch the Wind" I agree that despite the fact a lot of todays artists do have the talent, for whatever reasons, they are reined in to appeal to the masses via a "super duper" video clip It is a shame

jesus, if he existed (not forgetting that the gospels were written at least 40 years after he was said to have) was just a man and spoke to those he knew would listen because they were needy.. he in fact was suicidal and knew he could not keep up his act, allowing himself to be killed as a martyr thereby satifying his ego. other people made him into what they needed. if he lived,he was just a man.
