Donny I LOVE YOU! He's got truly the most beautiful voice ever, my favorite singer of all times. If i'm lucky enough to die peacefully and garcefully i want to be listening to Donny Hathaway while i slip away... and more then anything in this world, i hope that one day i experience the kind of love he sings about ....

I've never heard a more BEAUTIFUL song in my Life. This is the manifestation of what most perceive God to be, because it literally touches your soul & envelopes you with Love. I am reduced to tears every time I hear it.

My ex played this song for me when we first started to date. It was his way of asking me to not wait for a tomorrow that was not promised before deciding to be with him, but to join him in a relationship now. He had to play it twice for me to get it and when I did I cried in a fetal position like a child. We are not together now, but as I listen to this song I now realize there was more he was trying to do via the song. I now understand that he was offering me his heart that night.

I honestly believe that this was more than a love song,more than a love ballad,more than a classic. I believe that this truly was Donny's goodbye song to this world. His swan song of sort. He left a mark on R&B music that may never be seen ever again. He took the feelings of someone leaving him for ever & turned it into this...this masterpiece of emotions. How else can you say I love you or I miss you than through this song? This is the very essence of R&B music,what is missing from today's R&B.
