Such an amazing man - His book is worth every cent if you can find it.
Reading it inspired me to make a biplane with as little knowladge on how to make one as posible to see if I could make a short hop of a flight.Cheating a little of course becouse I know about the curve of the wing & other basics he gave us.
Yes it did hurt,A lot.
It did fly without me on it though in a heavy wind I'm proud to say.

The american brothers were searching for "patents", say, money. Do not forget the time they incorporated many things from others (Dumont, Voisin, Blériot) in their third plane, this one was totaly surclassed by Demoiselle. Only AFTER 1939, during a campaign to stir patriotism among americans, the USA accepted they as "the inventors".
