Yeah, he's a genius who definitely tapped into something higher for a few years there. He also definitely understood that often it's not WHAT you say but HOW you say it (conviction, etc.).

it's fascinating to watch and listen to these live performances. i don't think "bringing it all back home" had been released in england at the time "don't look back" was filmed, so this was probably the first time these people had heard dylan perform this song.
it's the same watching dylan introduce "mr. tamborine man" at newport in 64, or listening to him introduce the audience at philharmonic hall later that year to "gates of eden" and "it's alright ma".

one of the best songs he ever wrote. Every line is so original. You have to listen to them one at a time or your brain combusts with too much thought.
