I love this song, and really, this version.
It's weird, i hate the studio version, it sounds very kitsch, and his tone is so different..
But this is amazingly powerful...It's just amazing. Who said you need more than a guitar and the guy's voice to do the great stuff? ; )

the makeeup had something to do with emotional strains he was going thru at the time, divorce from his wife mainly. somehow i guess the makeup helped him to hide, psychologically. hey it was dylan he could do whatever and it was cool.
