Yes, it has changed my life as well. The futility of money and glory, popularity. The instrumental bringing up the rear seems to drive that point home. Thank you for this contribution w/ 45 and all, very well done.

I guess that depends upon how you define synthesizer. Yes, Bob Moog gets a lot of credit for putting various modules (that used to come as separates) into one unit, but electronic synthesis predates him by about a decade. The earliest synth I know of was made in 1958 by a French electrical engineer. Can't remember the name though.... but I suspect that unit was used on some recordings, despite the fact that it wasn't really meant to create music.
