actually the video is true, you got to join alliances and corps in order to get into large scale battles like those on the video..basicall its not really fun by yourself.

I've never played WoW, but is it Open-ended like EVE?
I like EVE because I like the fact that in the long run, you can do ANYTHING. But if you dont like it, thats your choice.
btw, did you do only a trial, or a subscription?

Lol waste of time and money was my experience. And for all the Eve players who pretend to be more sophisticated and smarter then WOW players, its exactly same grindfest but with pretend spaceships.
