Thsi was a very good film and introduced me many years ago to the music of Wagner. But the part at 3:18 with the hand catching the sword is very cheesy. Could have been a beer commercial

one of my favourite films of all time...
....couldn't stop thinking about it when I first saw it, seen it now a hundered times =], it just moves me - the imagery and soundtrack are just stunning, and nothing has planted such a fierce and passionate love in me, for my country.
A powerful, glorious, but sad ending to this film ...still makes my eyes glisten.
