I agree with you that Arnel can definitely sing those Journey's all time favorite songs. In my opinion, I think Arnel speaks English well enough, I saw the interview with the entire band members on CBS and he answered the questions with correct grammars. He just needs some practice in using those common vocabularies and speaking styles used by most Americans. I believe if Arnel lives here in US for more than 2 years then he will have better communication skills in English.

i love journey and of course steve perry but this guy does it well too... it's not about the steve perry sound i think, it's about the pitch, if the singer can sing that pitch, and work the crowd out... otherwise they could have just reconciled with steve perry who faked hip injury and stalled the band for a decade...

prplfusion-Actually, the average life span of a man in the US is 75.2 years, and since SP is not yet quite 60, I suppose we Perry worshipers still have 15.35 years to continue dreaming. Whew! That's a load off my mind. You scared me there for a minute.

Average lifespan of a man is 70 in roughly 10 years Perry will be dead he already lost his original voice yet to the women that idolize him they see/hear nothing but their 80s icon they fell in love with.

Infatuation is blind.

10 yrs from now even when Perry is dead they will be looking at 1980s photos, listening to his 80s music and dreaming.

So people don't even bother trying to reason with Perry worshipers! They can't see anything but their idol as perfect. Let em dream.

I don't care if he is pink, purple or what, I have no hate, but in an interview,from what I understand he can imitate alot of singers, there will never be anyone who can compare with Steve Perry, and I think it is sad that the band has come back with an imitator!! that they are making a come back with someone that sounds like Steve, they could not make it without that Steve Perry sound.
