yes unfortunatly he did,he hit at over 100mph sideways which was too much for his body to handle

As an official from watkins glen the Inner loop was talked about long before JDs crash it was the prosses it takes to get such an undertaking underway,yes its a pain in the ass to get that done but it was in the works, Like any race track racing is a dangerous sport and all tracks are dangerous when speed is there and all the drivers know this and live this,Its a part of their lives
