Yep. Though, actually, exhailing may destroy your voice faster than most if you are not properly aware of your limitations and how to do it correctly. It strains your vocal chords horribly. I am not talking about things like this song, but actually screamo and thrash/ect.

3/4 of my guy friends are into the metal,screamo stuff/band. They all learned how to do it both ways. Then later figured out that inhaling f'cked up their voices. You usually only see metal bands do inhaling now days since there's less singing ya know? Exhailing is for singers that both do the singing and screaming. Either way it's hard work.

I thought it was the other way around. Inhaling screaming is not as good as exhaling but it protects your vocal chords (somewhat) while exhaling damages them greatly. My friend is in a 'screamo/thrash' garage band, thats the way he learned it :/
