Some footage shot june 10th 2008
showing how high the Cedar River was getting Also shows a before and after shot of the old train bridge meeting its final match.
People have said these floods in the surrounding city's and towns have broken records.
Hats off to all the people that sandbagged to help make a difference as Im sure thousands of people appreciate your efforts.

I'm from Waterloo, but no longer live there. Its sad to see the devastation state wide especially in Cedar Rapids. George Bush and his administration don't give a shit about Iowa. If he did he would have cut his European trip short and would have been in Cedar Rapids. Another mess he'll ignore

I live in Texas now. Waterloo is my hometown. My brothers and I played and fished off the railroad bridge. Sorry for the loss. George Bush is a great president and does care about Iowans.

In fact he should have cut his European trip short and been here observing all this devastation. Cedar Rapids looked like New Orleans after Katrina...flood wise. George Bush and his administration SUCKS!

Astounding flooding! It seems like in some areas, huge areas of water are held back by the slightest of barriers.
