This is a tribute to a true champion...Ruffian. Ruffian sadly died in a match race between Follish Pleasure in 1975. She snapped her leg and had to be put down. That was the last match race that would ever be held in the United States. People say that she was possibly the fastest horse ever to step foot on the track. She was completely undefeated and won every single race by a long shot. She broke countless records that are still held today. She is also the only horse buried at belmont park. She was the greatest horse the world has ever seen... RIP

Ruffian was better than Foolish Pleasure, Secretariat, and even Man O'War. She won every sigle one of her complete races, smashed track and stakes records left and right, her adverage winning margin was 12 lengths and she always led wire-to-wire.

Like someone sad Foolish Pleasure wasn't nothing special, nothing worth of her life... She was winning when she broke down... They say that she was even better than Secretariat.... We will never know...
