Dave Wrote The Mechanix. not Four Horsemen. it's 2 different Things maybe the riff are the same but who cares?.- After Dave left, Hetfield rewrote the lyrics and Hammett added a new, melodic guitar solo in the middle of the song... They Made it better.

im not saying kirk is the most technical guitarist, but his solos sound much better, and creative, for that matter.
