one of my three turtles did grab my upper lip once as I put my nose to her's. Terrified me - if I pulled away, would she tear it off? I crouched down to the ground to give her a chance to get back on the floor, and luckily she let my lip go to walk away. What a lesson (she was a grouchy type to begin with)

How in the world did you train that turtle to raise up to you? It is such a cute video. What kind of turtle is it? Looks like it has some shell damaged on the front that has healed over, was it a rescue? Thanks for sharing!!

Not my video, but it is a box turtle, which I also have. Harder to take care of than tortoise (big desert ones) because they need 50%protein (worms, slugs, snails, etc.) and most refuse cat and dog food, unfortunately.
