I was trying hard to figure out what was wrong with this band? Good musicians, singers, look organised, but; but; but:
They do not project a character...flat as a pancake they are...and also, way too self-indulgent. Put some gritty realism into the job...with feeling!

I agree.
This band annoy the hell out of me. They have the musical ability, but boy do they need to write with a really good producer. Too often their music is ruined by very amateurish naive writing, or stupid synth effects that were dated 30yrs ago. I am being harsh because they could be a great band if they just recogniused the writing needs help.
As to the onscreen gumph-- you waited 20yrs for this, you must have missed porcupine tree, who are second to none in every way.
