Oh shut it. First off, it's an electric violin. Even Fender makes them now. Second, electric violin has been used in several prog rock bands. You can use any instrument in any kind of music. For instance, George Harrison from The Beatles learned to play the sitar. Rush's guitarist, Alex Lifeson, played the bazouki on their last album. Peter Gabriel of Genesis played flute. Anyway, cutting to the chase, people like you just can't realize that it's not the instrument, but the music!

dbeckster I was commenting a bit sarcasticly to igeorgei comment below mine. I saw this band in 78 in Frisco, and every other band you have mentioned except the Beatles on numerous occations, Hell Gabriel jumped off the stage right on me during his encore back in 80 when he did that kinda shit. I have a great appreciation for Mr. Jobson and this band. I could go on and on. but it would only bore.
