To me the Okkervil River is one of the best bands of the past ten years and on par with many of the classic (post70) acts of which the Triffids come to mind.

i think down the river of golden dreams is their best. this song is still awesome though :)

Having said that "Don't Fall in Love With Everyone You See" is still MY favorite album, I just think Black Sheep Boy as a whole is a better album. Westfall and Red are some of the most powerful songs I have ever listened to.

Stage names is good, but I will have to say Black Sheep Boy is absolutely hands down their best album.
