On Windows XP "Make sure your PC is set to display file extensions. (Folder Options, View Tab, Uncheck "Hide Extensions for known file types"). Then select the file, right click, rename with a different extension." I'm not sure about Vista but it should be similar

This is amazing. The only down side to it is that I can't figure out how to change the extention on the clip that I want. I tried it on my mom's computer (which has Vista) and I tried it on my computer (which has windows XP)...does anyone know how to change it? The file type wasn't in the name of the file. How would I change that?

works. prepped size of file with nero wave editor. converted mp3 to m4a then simply replaced that with an r and it worked a treat. was frustrated with first go as file was 43 secs long and that didn't work

this is only with 7.4 version?

FYI, this still works with iPhone 2.2 and iTunes 8.0.2. I did the process today (and produced a video on it). It will NOT work if your song is over 40 seconds in length. Remember, the playlist portion is optional, you can simply double click on the renamed file to add it to iTunes.

iobuffa (December 1, 2008 at 5:30 pm)
